Program Information/Mission
The mission of the Fire Science Technology program is to prepare firefighters with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to succeed in a fire and emergency service career. Â
Admission to Program
High school diploma. For the EMS 114 and EMS 120 courses, drug screen, criminal background check, physical examination and immunization will be required.
Additional Program Information
This comprehensive program includes fire prevention, suppression, and loss control for active or prospective fire service professionals (paid or volunteer) in government or industry. High School Graduate or equivalent required to challenge NREMT certification testing.
To Remain in and Graduate from the Program
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all program courses.
