Program Information/Mission
Admission to Program
High School graduate with HS GPA 2.7 or higher, or equivalent OR 9 hours of required courses from program sequence with a C or better.
ICC grade point average (GPA) of a 2.0 or above (if you have attended ICC).
Drug screen, fingerprint criminal background check, physical exam, and immunizations.
Documentation of current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider or American Red Cross (ARC) Professional Rescuer and BLS Provider. CPR certification must remain current throughout the program.
Accreditation Information
The Paramedic program of Illinois Central College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
To Remain in and Graduate from the Program
Student must attain a final grade of C or better in BIOL 140, BIOL 205/206 and all EMS prefix courses.
